For many years there was a post office in Voelklip, quite separate from the Hermanus post office. Originally it was built in 10th street and there was a shop next door to it. The shop was the first to open in Voelklip and was owned and managed by the Ham family. Later, the shop was replaced by a steak house owned by the Botha family and later by the Rosenstrauch family. Later still, the post office was moved to custom-built premises in 7th Street. This is now the OK Mini Mark. I have had difficulty in finding photos of the Voelklip post office and finding out the precise dates for each part of its life.
